How CheckList collects, uses, and protects your data.
CheckList is a personal task list. This policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it.
Email address — your login identity and account contact. Password — stored only as a secure hash, never in plain text. Display name — optional, for personalization. Tasks (title and notes) — the core to-do content you create. Session tokens — to keep you signed in.
We use your data only to operate the to-do service — storing your tasks, authenticating you, and sending account-related emails. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Your data is stored in a managed database. Passwords are hashed, and session tokens are scoped to your account. We take reasonable measures to protect your information.
We send transactional emails such as verification and password-reset links. Optional reminder emails can be toggled in Settings.
We use a session cookie (and an equivalent bearer token) to keep you signed in. These are essential to the service and are not used for tracking or advertising.
You can view and edit your profile at any time, change your password, and delete your tasks. Contact support to request account deletion.
